Professional translator, interpreter, copyeditor, and proofreader located in Russia. They were born in 1983 in the USSR, finished a specialized language school in 2000 and graduated from the Tula State University majoring in Linguistics and Translation in 2005. At the same time, they started their career as a teacher of practical classes in the same university.

Later, in 2012, Xen decided to leave the job in education to focus almost exclusively on technical translation and interpreting and have since worked for a few companies known in the Russian Federation as well as internationally. During those years, they took part in several government-organized conferences as a consecutive and simultaneous interpreter.

Always being passionate about arts, fiction, and other forms of creative expression, Xenia set on broadening their experience by delving into the world of belles-lettres, the first step being a collaboration with a long-time friend and colleague Maria Ferrante.

Apart from work, their interests include amateur writing and text roleplay, makeup artistry and fashion, psychology and spirituality, animal rescue, sustainable living etc.

Among the latest published works we single out:  Freerian Chronicles Saga and Silence in Your Soul Series.

Roxanne

Illustrator born in Palermo, a warm southern Italian city, in 1993. She studied at Scuola del fumetto in Palermo, specializing in comics and illustration for children. Since 2020, she has illustrated 15+ children's books thanks to authors around the world who have trusted her professional and insightful touch and je ne sais quoi which emerges through her illustrations.

In  2019, Roxanne founded Studio Blue Radio in collaboration with Frank Julian and Rita “La Rouge Moon” Contino, and she has been a host and a translator running her own radio program Turn The Word ever since. Thanks to her translating and simultaneous interpreting skills, she has had the chance to interview several artists and musicians, among them Mike Terrana (mainly known as Rage’s and Masterplan's drummer), Roland Grapow (Helloween's composer and singer), Jean-Michel Byron (Toto's singer), Delta Enigma, St. Aurora, and so forth.

In 2021, she illustrated The Day The Colours Went Away for Christopher Quirk, OCTOBER 2021 "Firebird Book Award" Winnerin the section Children’s Picture Books for Ages 4-8.

She currently lives in Italy with a beautiful kitten named Sky, and she happily continues drawing!

Among the latest published works we single out: Unravelling Time: Freerian Chronicles (written by Maria Ferrante, copyedited by Xen illustrated by Eleonora Calì). Jake & Josh: Same Love and In The Sky (by Henry Charles), The Marshmallow Moon (by Ria Falvo), There Are No Scary Monsters In My Room (by Ria Wheaton), Believe in your Dreams (Dr.Noha Syed), Robot Ranger, Who Am I? (by William Barry, Maria Bot, et al.).

Roxanne is also known as an official illustrator for Freerian Chronicles, a project by Progetto Inediti  in collaboration with Studio Blue Radio and Frank Julian.
